Business Analysis is the task of understanding business change needs, assessing the business impact of those changes, capturing, analyzing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders. The business analyst role is often seen as a communication bridge between IT and the business stakeholders. Business analysts must be great verbal and written communicators, tactful diplomats, problem solvers, thinkers, and analyzers - with the ability to engage with stakeholders to understand and respond to their needs in rapidly changing business environments. This can often involve dealing with very senior stakeholders and can often involve challenging and question to ensure that value for money is achieved from IT developments.

  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and drivers; summarize conclusions and implications of the analysis.

  • Drive research, data mining and model validation efforts pertaining to annual profit plan, long-term financial plan, and strategic plan.

  • Assist in the development and preparation of internal presentation materials for the strategic planning process.

  • Identify and enhance process improvement practices and create supporting documentation materials.

  • Coordinate with business units to aggregate and analyze data to complete ad-hoc inquiries on a timely basis.

  • Assist in the development and preparation of clear and concise external and internal presentation materials for Senior Management.

  • Provides a variety of complex financial data and maintains and updates company financial metrics and dashboard reporting.

  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

  • Ensures compliance with internal controls and code of conduct requirements.

  • Review & prepares, as needed journal entries and assists the Business Manager in required reconciliations.

  • Analyzes and reviews the monthly financial results versus the actual budget and provides a commentary to management.

  • Assists Business Manager with the annual company audits financial targets and monthly's forecast.

  • Analyzes financial information, trends, data and graphs making appropriate recommendations and generating ideas for potential cost savings and/or financial opportunities.
