The Company

The World Food Programme (WFP) is a leading humanitarian organization changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. On a mission to end hunger by 2030, WFP’s Future International Talent (FIT) Pool aims to build a pool of highly qualified, dynamic professionals of all levels who wish to work in any of WFP’s countries of operation, including emergency duty stations

The Challenge

On a mission to end global hunger, WFP team with its headquarters in Rome knew that people and their mobility for global operations would play a crucial role to help meet their goals. The biggest challenge facing the team was the inability to assess remote candidates. The initial screening process was riddled with manual and disconnected processes resulting in the hiring manager having to review and switch between multiple documents for a hiring decision. This was a time consuming, tedious process and there was also a risk of human error impacting the hiring decision. Besides this, with a distributed workforce and requirement for candidates across the globe, there was always the risk of prospects employing unfair practices during the tests right from searching for answers online or seeking external help for attempting the assessments. The team needed a mechanism to ensure that candidates did not partake in such unfair practices during the tests.

The Solution

Remote assessments would be most ideal for meeting the global quality workforce requirements. Interview Mocha’s remote assessment features proved the ideal solution, helping bring all candidate data in a single repository. The hiring manager no longer needed to refer multiple documents for a hiring decision with all candidate data loaded in a single repository. The image and video proctoring capabilities also ensured candidates did not adopt any unfair practices during the course of the test. The advanced analytics and visual reporting give the recruiter easy access to a ready ‘pool’ of suitable candidates.

The Result

A customer since March 2019, the FIT Pool team was especially happy about the quick one day onboarding and go live. 595 assessments have been conducted till date with 150-180 candidates matching the hiring criteria set by WFP. Thereby creating a ready ‘pool’ for the WFP team.
